So the husband says he wants to see Expendables 1 & 2 so I rented them...BAD idea. I should have stopped at the first one, but the masochist inside me says, perhaps the second one is better. For the love of god, please take my advise and NEVER see either movie.
Does anyone know why Stalone looks like a Mexican? It's an insult to Mexicans. Also at the end where Stole talks to that chick, says your too young and would never work...if I were the chick, I would say, what are you talking about grandpa. The chick was never into anyone in the movie, so get over yourself Stalone. Bad writing, bad directing bad acting.

It's not a bad movie for action movie buffs who still like to reminisce the 80s & 90s. The sequel is not as good as the first but the addition of Van Damme makes watching it worth while. The biggest disappointment is... you guessed it - Chuck Norris, after all these years, he is still a bad actor. sorry, Chuck, I like you in The way of the dragon with Bruce Lee. Just fighting and no acting!

It's terrible, but at the same time it's so good and fun like "Avenger" in old version. Where else can you see all these action stars get together and kill together? It was nice to see all of them look happy and have fun in a film with lots of make-ups on. I didn't understand what Stallone say at all, but it does not matter at all!

Movie quote - "This is embarrassing!" (This Schwarzenegger quote summed up this asinine movie perfectly)_____ From truly laughable hairpieces, all around, to utterly pathetic "Terminator" reference jokes, non-stop, The Expendables 2 sure sucked, big-time._____ This $92 million "Bang! Bang! Shoot-Em-Up!" movie starred more tired-looking, megastar, senior citizens as (unconvincing) action heroes than you could ever imagine possible in one picture._____ I can't begin to tell you how annoyingly tiresome it got watching the likes of the Italian Stallion, the Austrian Oak and the Muscles From Brussels arrogantly, yet feebly, strutting around as if they were all actually still men of about half their present ages._____ I think that it was very revealing that this Rescue Mission/Revenge/Pay-Back picture was suspiciously void of any women. (So much for our heroes being sex-crazed, womanizing machomen, eh? Do you think that this was a "gay" statement?)_____ And even though this movie contained no gratuitous sex, whatsoever, its violence (in order to compensate for this deficiency) was so over-the-top that 100s of men were cold-bloodedly slaughtered just because they happened to be conveniently labeled as "the enemy".

much better than the first one. You can't take this too seriously, reality is NOT the point. Parts of this are hilarious. Action like few other movies I've ever seen. The music cued every time CHUCK NORRIS appears is so perfect....cracked me up every time

Popcorn entertaining action movie with action stars galore. Don't expect reality, though. Sort of like the "A team" on steroids (better than the A team movie). I did not see the first Expendables so I don't know which is better. This was pretty good plus it had the "governator" too. Sometimes made me think of video games popular with the youth these days. Vann Dam made good villain (even his name was "Vilain") but now that he's dead who's next ? Pretty sure there will be a Exp 3...

This one was better than the original. I like that Arnold got more screentime, and the subtle references to the other movies he's been in (Terminator, Total Recall, etc.). I wish Norris would've gotten more screentime, escpecially with Van Damme.

I actually enjoyed this one much more than I did the first. Perhaps because Sly didn't direct this time. The one-liners from Ahnold, Bruce, and Chuck were welcomed comic relief, breaking up the monotonous shooting, grunting, and explosions. Van Damme made a good villain.

With all the cameos of every action hero ever, this *has* to be a parody. As such it has some funny moments. However, they are somewhat swamped by long stretches of shoot-em-up and gore.
