My 8-year old loves this movie, she thinks it's hilarious!! I really like it too, and would recommend it for a family movie night with elementary/middle school age kids.

Can't go wrong with Billy and the Divine Ms. M. Sweet, funny and the kids where great. Good family date night.

The movie “Parental Guidance” is a great family movie no matter how old you are. It’s about grand-parents Artie and Diane, when Artie gets fired from his job, his wife Diane takes the opportunity to go out to LA and babysit their grand-children for about a week. But when they get there they realize that they are the "second grand-parents" to the kids when they go out to babysit. The parents of the children are over protective and very controlling so the mother doesn't leave when she is supposed to because she does not trust her parents to do a good job because of past issues. So when the grand-parents are trying to learn the parents ways on how to care for the kids they come across a lot of issues. An uptight child, stuttering problems, and imaginary friends, who doesn’t deal with these problems when they have kids? So in their last couple days when the parents come home everything that they have been annoyed with or disliked about each other came out and it helps them get through all that has happened. They realize that their ways could have changed and helped them out just like the grand-parents and then this would have saved them a lot of trouble overall. The people who get over their issues the most though are the kids, who realize that their ways were wrong as well. Except for Karl who doesn’t learn anything by the end and is a very disobedient towards everyone. This movie is rated PG.

It was good and had some funny parts for sure - but a lot of "as if" parts too. I wouldn't pay to see it, but I did enjoy it. It's worth getting from the library! :)

This is a typical Billy Crystal movie with a lot of 'gag' humour etc. What suprised us was how much heart it had and that is mainly due to the kids and Marisa Tomei. A nice simple family movie.

Great movie for the family!!!
