Add a CommentWatchable. Interesting tale.
It's quirky and entertaining. Sam Rockwell elevates the material just by being his incredible self. The dude can play the most winsome psycho ever.
The central character was so engrossed in a story that he became one of the characters in his mind: he was an alcoholic movie script writer, friend of two psycho killers, and crossed path with other psychopaths, or was the events and characters for real? Don't turn off the TV when the credits first roll; there was more to the ending.
Weirdly funny, literally watched this movie several times to make sure I got the storyline. Now that I've seen it, I'll probably check it out from time to time. There's a lot of people getting shot(mostly in the head), so beware with children around.
odd but entertaining movie, if you like the actors you'll enjoy the story - funny at times with unexpected twists
It's a pretty unique story. A bit strange, but somehow entertaining. Great cast of many actors, some doing what amounted to cameo shots. Christopher Walken as always adds his offbeat personality to his character.
I agree with the last reviewer, there seems to be something missing. Not a great movie, but watchable.
I liked this crime/gangster/comedy, but didn't love it. It did make me want to see this Directors other script In Bruges. Plays out sort of like Tarantino meets Guy Ritchie...sort of. Pretty unique. There just seemed to be something missing. Well acted with a smart script.
