This movie turned out to be surprisingly boring. We stopped watching after about 20 min.

I'm NOT a rom-con 'fan',.. but this sharply scripted gem is suprisingly interesting, well acted, and relatively free of cliche. Well worth an attentive watching.

Young adults who don't know who they are or what they want yet (fair enough) pinballing around randomly bumping into each other to see what happens. Some characters grow a bit - not enough to be a relationship movie...but maybe the prequel to a coming of age story. worth a watch.

it's not a comedy in the classic sense ... it is a great commentary on contemporary relationships and a lighthearted poke at living in LA. What happens when you are married and best friends but now getting divorced. Then one of you is having a baby with your new partner and the other one is having trouble even dating, but one or both of you can't let go of your relationship. I think I would have liked it even better if there were not so many f-bombs being thrown around.

This movie is like someone tried to make a Woody Allen movie, without Woody having anything to do with it, just fell flat.

The trailer for this movie is great, but the movie adds little to those highlights.

Probably would be enjoyable for people 20 or under. We're older and couldn't get interested,

A sad story of a divorcing couple who start off the best of friends despite their separation. Their friends find their close relationship awkward and dysfunctional in the face of their failed marriage, so as time moves on, the latch-on ex-husband Jesse leaves the successful trend analyst Celeste for other women, and Celeste, who has always had the upper hand in their relationship, starts to fall behind, confused by the contrast of what once was and what now is. Determined to remain friends (or possibly more), they try to keep their connection strong while life throws problems at them. The struggle is tremendous, leading to a sort of pitiful laugh at the irony and tragedy of the situation. There's also a parade of giggles to be had at the gin-soaked teen pop star who butts heads with Celeste almost immediately and have to work together anyway. It's important to state the film is mostly about Celeste and her survival of their divorce, so Jesse takes a backseat. It is sad and, if not in a stable state of mind, it could put you in a pretty bad state, but, in all honesty, I found it very entertaining and enjoyable, even in its disturbing honesty. Nobody is painted a hero or winner in divorce and so the same is true in CELESTE & JESSE FOREVER. If you're of the right mindset, I would definitely recommend this film.
