An awesome movie for kids and people of all ages. I loved this movie! The message behind it was great. The movie was also hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing at parts.
Great movie. Excellent story. Perfect family movie. Good lesson on not judging others.
i thought this was actually funny and solid one
I was really excited to watch this because a lot of my favorite (voice) actors were in it (I love Spade and Drescher, sue me). And for a children's film, this was actually quite funny. I think the only problem with the humor was that it was rapid fire jokes. So while you were enjoying one joke, they were shooting off three more. Which also seemed to be the pace for the movie, as if they were racing to the end.____ The soundtrack grated on me, primarily because I think almost anything on the Top 40 is terrible music. I didn't think it was that much of an issue until the end, where (spoiler alert) the main characters line up and start SINGING the lyrics to these songs. I grew up watching the classic monster films (Colin Clive and Dwight Frye are my heroes) so this was particularly insulting. I was willing to forgive most of what went on in the film because it's an interpretation geared towards children, but Dracula rapping a song - even going as far as to autotune his voice - is hideously exploitive. It's also sort of tragic considering how brilliant the beginning of the film. What a glaringly stark contrast. But wait, didn't all the Shrek films end the same way? Something tells me that isn't a coincidence.____ Depending on how old your kid is, they'll most likely enjoy this because most kids enjoy anything animated and slightly humorous. My problem with it is that it's another one of those films dumbed down for kids because any actual effort in a production that could appeal to both children and adults is somehow considered impossible and/or difficult. Thus films like this end up appealing to adults who believe their children are fragile and incapable of adapting or understanding anything about the real world.___ Point is, this is an "okay" film. Nothing challenging or unique.
Funny movie, great to watch no matter your age.
i'm 16 & i watched this movie with my friends & everyone had a fun time watching it especially the hilarious scences
this was a really cute kids movie. I dont understand why adults are being so critical about how funny it was because it was obviously a movie designed for kids in mind and in my opinion the KIDS would love it
i love this movie!!!!
At first, I wasn't too excited to watch as my sister wanted to watch it. But through out the movie, I liked the plot and how it wasn't cheesy or lame. It was just a real story that anyone can relate to.
