Disappointed with this one! Good actresses seeming to just follow director's pathetic instructions to make the story more interesting than it is. Thin plot and I agree... lots of over acting. Wondering why story is so anti union when clearly all involved with movie making must be members of a union... warts and all.

Descent movie about a parent's struggle to get the help her child needs, in this case, a proper school. Little guy takes on the establishment. Feel good movie, but not too deep.

I love the cast that was assembeled here, but the whole thing just came across as a watered down version of Erin Brokovich, complete with a Disneyfied ending.

I saw the movie and I had liked it
this is based on a true story not for Children to watch

One copy stops at the 1 hour 47 minute. If that is your copy, stop the DVD, back out and go to scene selection and select the last scene sequence. You will be able to watch the remainder of the movie that way.

Great movie. Awesome acting! Little girl playing Gylnenhall's daughter was great and cute! Moving & Motivating!

Recommend. A little slow in middle but worth it stick with it!

A very inspirational story of teachers and parents working together to improve a failing school system. Together let's make district 116 not only an educational system where students succeed but excel!

The movie does feel long but it has a good message.

Seemed overly long. Good cast but a lot of "over the top" acting. I would guess that would be on the director more than the actors.
