Fantastic homage to classic horror movies. Great fun! One of Tim Burton's best.

Loved the graphics of this movie, the story line and plot were not bad either.

I have been a fan of Tim Burton movies my whole life. This was a fantastic movie!!! I cried a few times. Mostly because I was thinking of how I would feel if I had to watch my doggy die. It's a great concept that "if done with love" the experiment won't go awry. If you don't like Tim Burton and the "dark" way he does his movies you will not like this. If you are a Burton fan, you will. Point blank. As always, Danny Elfman did a fantastic job on the soundtrack.

A lacklustre effort from Burton. If he put half the effort he put into BEETLEJUICE, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, or my personal favourite, EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, this film would be creative and interesting. Unfortunately, it falls flat, becoming a tedious chore in how obvious and hamfisted a film about reanimation can be. I don't recommend it.

I used my Dvd player to go through the scenes(of this story) and came to the opinion that this is more for Children whom are not scared of Frankenstein. I do not believe in Frankenstein as it is a Halloween theme. I do not celebrate Halloween. This is for people whom celebrate Halloween.

Awful. I fell asleep on this movie so many times, finally I just gave up. I normally like animations such as this, but it was too slow, dry and in B&W... really?! I wish it was more enjoyable and less painful to watch. Recommended viewing only if you need a good nap.

I loved it. Incredible stop-motion craftsmanship, centered on a charming, satirical story, of a young, future mad scientist, and his reanimated pooch. I was transfixed and completely entertained. Martin Landau's character, reminiscent of Vincent Price; Sparky's poodle girlfriend (bride of Frankenweenie); everything. I can't understand the negative comments. Oh well, whatever -- to each his or her own. Tim Burton's twisted vision is just plain amazing.

Fairly obvious idea. Maube someone should have brought it to life ...

Mr. Rzykruski (addressing an auditorium of parents who consider him a menace): "Ladies... gentlemen. I think the confusion here is that you are all very ignorant. Is that right word, 'ignorant'? I mean stupid; primitive; unenlightened. You do not understand science, so you are afraid of it... Like a dog is afraid of thunder, or balloons. To you, science is magic, and witchcraft, because you have such... such small minds! I cannot make your heads bigger, but your children's heads... I can take them and crack them open! This is what I try to do -- to get at their brains!"
