Add a Commentgreat Fx effects, not a remake of Judge Dredd. They should make more movies from the Dredd comix Series
Judge Deeds is the high tech Dirty Harry of the future. Nice story and special effects on gruesome deaths.

I entered viewing this DVD knowing it would be violent. But even the violence was too extreme for me! Also the future once again is depicted as dark & a wasteland.
Not bad - at least it was WAY better then the version done by Sylvester Stallone. Their is a high level of violence but that is very accurate to the graphic novels.
As too the comment below it's stated in the movie by Anderson that even though its overwhelmingly obvious that the society is destroying it self there are still good people who need protection. How would you feel if the cops didn't want to help you or your family because it was too dangerous. Why don't we just stop helping people in low income gang ridden areas because there to dangerous.
way to bloody and gorey I think it also had alot of intinse and brutal action violents, pretty gross but it did follow with all the comics.
This movie was MUCH better than the earlier Stallone flick and Robocop. DREDD was faithful to its comic book origins. Of course it was violent and bloody. So is the comic book. I thought the acting and cinematography were excellent. The special effects were amazing. If you expect Mary Poppins look elsewhere.
Almost literally makes violence an art form. And brutal violence at that. Karl Urban from Star Trek is almost unrecognizable - which is not necessarily a bad thing.
A cool sc-fi film with some differnet uses of slow motion, ulraviolet and 3D. Rediculous amount of blood spurts. It was low budget, but not in a chessy manner.
