Add a CommentNot in the same league as the first, which I, and I believe many others, really enjoyed. Employing the daughter as an apprentice was a major mistake in my opinion. "Explode another grenade, Kim--watch out for goats and innocent bystanders--Good! You're getting warmer..." Are you kidding me?!? And the Turkish dude has two more sons (groan)... Maybe Kim's wimpy boyfriend can learn to shoot flamethrowers in "Taken 3"...
Nothing special and certainly doesn't compare to the first movie. Really silly at times...especially the daughter's driving skills. Also, where was all that ammunition coming from? I don't remember him changing magazines on the pistol more than once or twice. Talk about "high capacity magazines"! Give me a break!
An entertaining action flick, with quality actors, but it is in essence a re-hash of the first. This sequel was unnecessary, as most are, but it seemed wholly redundant and formulaic. I would recommend it to anyone who loves action films; for the sometimes wanting quality of the genre, TAKEN 2 is better than many. However, it will not meet the expectations of fans of the original.
TOO MUCH VIOLENCE AND KILLING.WHAT A FARCE WITH DAUGHTERS DRIVING SKILLS, WHEN SHE COULD NOT PASS FIRST DRIVERS TEST. NEVER SHOWED HOW THEY GOT OUT OF TURKEY. HOW COULD YOU TAKE WORD OF A VILLIAN, NO MORE KILLING TOWARD THE END.. WHERE DO YOU GET THE BULLETS TO RELOAD? NEESON HARD UP FOR WORK TO ACT IN THIS ONE.. AGREE TAKEN ONE BETTER .NEESONS BEST SHINDLER'S LIST.
An O.K. and entertaining actioner. Wish I'd seen the first one,.. but the waiting list at NYPL is just too LONG !
If you haven'y seen the 1st movie, dont watch this until you've seen it. For a sequel, it wasn't bad, considering the storyline that continued from the 1st movie.
liked it but not as good as the first...
Garbage. I like to pretend this never happened. The first one was epic. If you want to see another good thriller with Liam Neeson, I highly recommend "Unknown."
Was a lot better then reviews led me to believe. Definetly worth the watch.
Less believable when the daughter turned from a typical teenager who could not past the driver's license test but became a professional-like getaway driver under duress... other than that little detail, some interesting twists and nice enough foot chase on rooftops in Istanbul (Skyfall show cased a bike race and Clieve Owen's "International" on those same rooftops over the grand bazaar).
