A lot of action but no plot.

I loved the action scene in the light room and the fight with the 2 titans I called them. It was good to see Leon in the movie but the actor who played him did not make me feel like it was leon. This movie is bad and good at the same time. Seeing the old gang back together was a nice nostalgic look. but I would like to see a RE movie spin off without Alice and put unknowns in the mix of the Racoon city oitbreak.

This movie was awful. There is absolutely no character development. Dialogue/conversation between the characters is virtually non-existent -a few sentences thrown in here and there...and what little there is, is cartoonish. Parts of the movie don't even make sense. For example, Alice becomes protective and nurturing toward a girl who is actually a computer generated hologram. Alice knows the girl does not exist -is a fake, and that the girl is created by the computer system that wants to kill her, but Alice is still willing to risk her life to defend the GIRL -WHY??!! I am being incredibly generous by even giving this movie one star. Here's the movie: gunfire, more gunfire, explosions, more gunfire, car chase, some hyper-stylized kung-fu, more gunfire... more kung-fu, more gunfire... end of movie. I like the other Resident Evil movies. This one was a real dud.

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. Not too bad---good performance.

Awful, just awful, and i like these stupid movies. Not one good scene, not one good exchange of dialogue, not one good special effect. Craptastic.

For a resident evil movie it wasn't bad - lots of effects and fighting. Mila looks amazing!

I yawned through the whole thing aswell. The best part was in the beginning with Olivera. After, it was all down hill. Where did all these people come from. All the past episodes man kind was extinct all over the world with just a straggler here and there. It was like they had to go backwards in order to have a story. BORING!!!

Skip It - Resident Evil: Retribution (2012) 94 min. Starring Mila Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Michelle Rodriguez. This film is the fifth in the series and despite some very good special effects and non-stop action – I was terribly bored. All you really need to watch is the first 10 minutes of the film that provides a nice little recap of all previous films and the last 10 minutes of the movie that shows the viewer that another is on its way. Everything in between is exactly as one would expect watching a video game – lots of shooting, running, fighting, running, and shooting. Yawn. The first of this series is still my favourite and highly recommended. Like you, I have played all RE games and watched this RE movie series. This time it is just what we have expected : story not moving forward, long boring action scenes that you really care, pretty much like RE6 to me. That long boring scene of Alice "with normal life", felt it was thrown in just to make up the 90mins. On the good side, it was fun to finally see a decent Ada Wong, but the actor who played Leon looked like someone who ask you for change outside Tims. And Barry, "hi and bye", too bad. The ending was the same as last few installment, you know there will be another sequel in 2 yrs, yawning. In the meantime, let's pray for a good RE4-like RE7 ! Good luck to us diehard fans...

A lot of action. Milla looks gorgeous, as per. The plot is sort of stupid with an ending that could be ripe for a probably even worse sequel. This series is stale. They brought back a host of actors from previous movies, but in a way that only made sense with the silly storyline. The effects were decent, but this is definitely the death knell for the series. I hope.
