Add a CommentDefinitely not all whimsy and sentiment, "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" is simultaneous in its high standard of humour and humanity. Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton are terrific as the parents and both show off great comic timing (IMO). A worthwhile watch for sure! Just ignore the ultimate resolution, however, as it is unbelievable. Then again, the whole movie centers around a boy who has leaves which grow out of his legs. Adhere to the spirit of the movie and you'll not only get it but you might just love it.
Sweet little movie, good for kids to watch.
This movie is so sweet and beautiful, magical yet somehow believable, and totally funny too. But I cried at the end, an end like The Book Thief, totally sad but happy too.
This movie is fantastic! Please watch it and make all your friends watch it too!
Our whole family enjoyed this movie. It is a drama that deals with adoption, parenthood, friendships, death, forgiveness, and love. Though it deals with some heavy subjects, they are touched on briefly and lightly, but it is really for about 9 years old and up. Some great family conversations could come out of this!
Great family movie
Classic Disney fare - somewhat charming but without a great deal of substance. A retelling of a classic fairy tale with two parents who long for a child, and when they are unable to have one, nature somehow produces one for them that has a limited life...in this case, a child from the garden.
This was cute, but more lows than highs and left me feeling mostly sad. I'm really not sure if it was supposed to be a kids' movie or not; I had thought so from the preview but it seemed awfully dark and sad for a kids' movie. The previews showed pretty much everything lighthearted or funny, so I did not expect what I ended up watching. Too bad, because I thought all the performances were good.
This movie was very cute. it kinda reminded me of Ramona and the Beezus. I like all the ators and actresses , and I loved Timothy. However, I felt that Timothy should've done more in the movie. I thought it was gonna be better, more heart felt , and amazing. It was just average. I also didn't like the ending how he disappeared and never came back. It was sad. The movie is cute though, but don't expect it to be that good. Four stars.
best movie ever! i loved it i cried at the end though it was so sad !!!! :(
