This was just a hoot. Action packed and heart pounding. Total escapism at its finest. However, I would imagine there are a few Americans who will not like the portrayal of Lincoln or the south. For escapism; great movie.

As much silly fun as any Marvel /DC / space opera offering lately, I really enjoyed this. Lots of action, bit of comedy, bit of romance and bromance, bit of history and morality, just all-around entertaining. Perfect if you're looking to escape, I highly recommend this if you are sick or depressed.

I have not read the novel on which it is based, but I know for sure this movie should not have been made.

Just as goofy as I expected it to be.

I enjoyed this movie. It had a good storyline, action and vampires . It was better then I expected. To me it was more a sci-fi action film then a horror film ( I don't know if that was the aim but I liked it).

Well-Well - Isn't it just like the American movie industry to finally stoop to taking their country's most beloved and respected president and literally reducing him to the level of being an idiot vampire hunter? (and, all for the sake of cashing in on his name for a buck)

Or, maybe I'm mistaken here - Was this nonsensical horror movie made in a deliberate, yet decidedly blind, attempt to elevate Lincoln even higher into the stratosphere of folklore heroism?

I found the axe-wielding Abe Lincoln to be a truly laughable character (as well as this film's story hinging on the very edge of being a total Looney-Tune cartoon, sans any humour). But, I was actually quite impressed by the striking cinematography that prevailed and at the attention to detail which was placed on the period setting.

All-in-all - This was a pretty average horror movie (with some decent gore). But, in the long run, it did absolutely nothing to evoke any reverence in me over the apparent charisma and political might of its title character.

I, for one, sure hope that using U.S. presidents as a cheap marketing ploy to sell second-rate horror movies isn't going to turn into a new trend in this business of show business.... Like, what's next? John F. Kennedy: Zombie Annihilator (!?)

I rented this movie because i needed a good laugh. After all Abe, Vamp hunter? REALLY? It was not a comedy, but actually very unique and edgy. GREAT CGI scenes at the end. Some town scenes looked like they were from the small town of Columbia Cali. Where I am from

Oh man...what a disappointment. To have both Tim Burton and Timur B. attached then have it turn out to be simply unwatchable...surprising to say the least.

Book is cool, creative weaving of history and fantasy...movie is a horrid, made for TV/PG-13 styled preteen oriented mess.

The dialogue was horrible, there were plot holes up the wazoo, and I find it next to impossible to take a villian seriously when you know the actor's first name is Rufus. But the fight scenes were killer (no pun intended) and no one takes themselves or the whole concept too seriously. This falls firmly in the category of so bad it's good. In the spirit of Cowboys and Aliens, you have to just go into it with a sense of humor and let the film take you along.

Writer Seth Grahame-Smith must've eaten the Mezcal worm after downing the bottle when he came up with this bizarre concept. Just plain weird. And having the talented Mr. Macabre, Tim Burton, as a producer, contributed a little of his dark flavor to the depravity. It was a watchable farce, but I think I've reached a point where I'm vampired out. They just hold no appeal for me anymore. You've seen one, (and I've seen boatloads), you've seen 'em all.
