Peter Parker (getting home late, acting strangely): "I'm so sorry... I kept you guys up... I'm insensitive. I'm irresponsible. I'm hungry." (opens fridge and chows meatloaf) Aunt May: "Drinking?" Uncle Ben: "I don't think so." Peter Parker: "This is your meatloaf! ...This beats all other meatloafs!" Aunt May: "Something is very wrong." Uncle Ben: "Yeah. Nobody likes your meatloaf."

Add a CommentWow!? How can anyone here say "awesome", "great movie", "better than Toby McGuire"!? Lots of detail changed to keep the newer generation focused? "Big name" out of work talent NOT fully utilized enough. The kid playing spiderman is not terrific and given a poor script with bad acting direction, wow! Poor and not as utilized "special effects" as the prior Spiderman and this villan is low key pathetic in the comics so who picked this one? WHY was this film produced not too long after the other spiderman!?
Exceeded my expectations, although it was a bit too long, but even so they kept it moving forward at an easy pace, right through the many cliches as well as the action. The Spidey fx were nice, and the Lizard looked good too. Now that the origin story is over, hopefully the films will improve.
The kid playing Spider-Man is terrific. I actually like him better than McGuire. Better action, better "spidey" moves and ALOT of big name stars make this the #1 Spider-Man movie to date and I hope there are more. Bring in the Sinister Six or even Carnage.Worth the wait! Oh and Stan Lees cameo.....AWESOME!
The amazing Spider man like Bradly Cool
I liked this Spiderman. He seems more true to the comic book. Do miss Tobey though as well.
Very tired of spider-man reboots
Excellent!! Can't wait for the next one!
Enjoyed this movie quite a bit more that the first one with Tobey McGuire. This Spiderman was a lot grittier and from what I've been told truer to the comics version. It'll be interesting to see what they do for a sequel.
The only thing I liked about this film was The Lizard and even then they could have done a better job. The absolute worst part though was that in every other scene Peter Parker is showing off his super powers in public sans costume. Given that, how could the whole town not know who Spider-Man was?
Okay...wow. Finally, a good Spider-Man movie! I wasn't expecting much, but this is by far the best live action Spider-Man film made... it is leaps and bounds better than the horrible Sam Raimi franchise. Peter Parker is dark, the movie takes itself seriously, and the results are great. I can't wait for the next one...
