Funnier than I expected. Totally LOL. Even though Adam Sandler grates a little, this film is still worth watching for the belly laughs!
MOVIE WAS HILARIOUS!!!! Very Funny
Not what I was expecting! Adam Sandler movies generally are juevenille, which is expected, but this piece, is trying to get an award for the pleather of crassness packed into a 90 minute movie. I thought it was a typical A.S movie and my 13 year old watched it....OOPS! You never can tell with ratings anymore. When a kid tells you it was inappropriate but funny, you know its not good. While watching, I did laugh in a few parts, but those parts were out weighed by my continuous distaste in the vulgarity and idiosy of the rest of the film. I couldn't get past the vulgarity to even develop an opinion on the acting...what does that tell you?
The other half-star and one-star comments pretty much cover it. Adam Sandler gives a crappy acting imitation of Al Pacino giving a crappy acting imitation of a crappy comic actor trying to force laughs from a crappy script. I hate to think of the number of brilliant scripts rotting away on producer's shelves because the funding goes to a piece of dreck like this. If you insist on watching it, hide all the razorblades beforehand because you will surely cut yourself in self-loathing over wasting so much of your life. If, on the other hand, you do enjoy this movie, feel free to use all the razors you want.
This is an old parity of a Van Halen song "Hot for Teacher", Don Johnson looks more like Rip Taylor.
Adam Sandler, ever the one-trick pony, plays the same schtick--this time more vulgar than ever. Raunchy, crass, juvenile and yes, it has its funny moments. If you were offended by 'Borat' or 'Bridesmaids', then give this one a wide berth. Sandler has parlayed a lame SNL sketch into a weathy career. He wasn't funny back then and he hasn't evolved much for the better since. He used 3 relatives in this movie for a cameo...his 2 daughters plus 1 other. I've tried picturing his daughters watching his movies when they are teens and wondering if he'd be uncomfortable.
definetly one of Adam Sandlers best!
A funny movie if you have a special sense of humour! I liked it better than Jack and Jill! The soundtrack was great, being the 80s, you need to be in your 40s to appreciate it as well as some of the 80s joke references. If you found this movie vulgar, you need to lighten up! It was not meant to be serious, but funny and mindless. Yes, I know incest and statuatory rape are not funny, but this movie did it in a way that both parties were not forced, but enjoyed partaking in both. Many movies make fun of things in life, this one, no exception.
Some big laughs make this not entirely horrible.
