Excellent film about man who must make a change to move forward. He has refused and resisted in the past and now he has lost everything. Will he be able to change now?
An alcoholic executive loses his job must live on front lawn of his home after he gets kicked out. He reviews his past and present with people he meets in those days outside his home. It's difficult to determine if any of the characters need to or will improve their situation. A rare serious role for Will Ferrell.
this is not your typical Will Ferrel comedy, more a drama and pretty good. (first view) your typical, lose your ass and find yourself drama w/a more mature edge on Farrell. (second)
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN A WILL FARRELL MOVIE WOULD BE A WASTE OF TIME. HAD TO WATCH IT THRU THE END TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WOMEN IN THE FLICK. NO ONE COULD PULL OFF SUCH A STUNT IN ANY CITY WITH LAWN CLUTTER. I WAS DEPRESSED DURING THE MOVIE WATCHING WILL'S MELTDOWN. THE NEIGHBOR BOY WAS THE BEST OF THE CAST.
I can't pinpoint what was so dreadful about this film. I don't think I even finished it. I only saw it maybe a month ago and I can't even remember it. Disappointing, but not as disappointing if I had actually paid money to watch it. I love you, public library.
Will may be the star but as far as the action goes I think the kid is the real star as far as the acting and activity goes. I did not enjoy the character Will plays nor the premise.
Eh. So-So movie. I like Ferrell in a more serious movie like this and "Stranger than Fiction" but this movie just never really went anywhere. Was disappointed. I expected more. Not awful. OK i guess.
This movie was not at all interesting to me. The acting was fine, but the plot was completely lackluster. I'm not generally a fan of dramas, so perhaps that was the problem.
D.U.M - dumb! A waste of an hour and a half. There is a reason no one has ever heard of this movie!
