Great film!! What a unique idea for a movie. There are so many remakes and prequels......etc. It is nice to see a film that makes you think. Very enjoyable.
Decent concept done pretty well. Moves along at a nice pace. Keeps your interest and keeps you wondering what will happen next. Decent acting by all. The action scenes are pretty well done. Above average sci-fi-ish thriller. Cooper plays the anti-hero slacker who becomes superhumanly smart/capable via drugs convincingly. Worth checking out.
This one started off great - quick pace... interesting character development... Somewhere along the way the story felt 'thick'... heavy... overloaded. The ending seemed lacking, (the alternate as well). That said, Bradley Cooper was very well suited for this role, and agreed, De Niro was not.
I liked this a lot; it went by quick and made me think, too. I would have to agree that DeNiro was miscast, although it wasn't too distracting. Cooper was perfect in the role.
Great sci-fi premise ! But (I felt) it was not fully realized in the telling. Still ,..not-to-be-missed for thoughtful entertainment and stacatto action. There is heavy use of voice-over to facilitate exposition ,.. which effects flow.
This movie is good, especially in the beginning, but it fell short later on. The cinematography is interesting as the director uses a few tricks to take the viewer on a ride. The premise is great, but the movie gets caught up in trying to tie up loose ends that do not make sense and the story's ending seemed to be an afterthought. It is an OK popcorn movie. I was a bit bored in some sections, but overall I would recommend the movie if you have nothing better to do..
Great idea for plot but the plot has many holes. At times the actions of a 4 digit IQ man does not make sense.
It was a great movie. I knew that DeNiro's character was up to something but I thought the end would be bigger. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. WARNING: Those of you who easily get motion sick, there is some cinematography that may make you queasy.
if u like movies with drugs in them here u go but it has a twist
