Quotes
Add a QuoteChristina Warren: I think you broke his jaw. Colter Stevens: It's okay, he's not any more real than you are.
Dr. Rutledge: You know, many soldiers would find this preferable to death. The opportunity to continue serving their country. Colter Stevens: Have you... have you spent much time in battle, sir? Huh? Dr. Rutledge: That's immaterial. Colter Stevens: Any soldier I've ever served with would say that one death is service enough.

Comment
Add a CommentJake has one of the most uniquely handsome faces ever. And he's pretty talented, too. Source Code is average/below average sci-fi - but at least it's fun to look at the screen. The movie is infinitely better than that inept piece o' sci-fi space waste called 'Inception.' I tried watching that three times and don't care for it.
Dweezil hits a home run.
An interesting concept, but it didn't hold my attention like I thought it would. Still worth a look.
I love a good thriller and I think Jake G. is a fine actor but this was a big snoozefest. It has a "Groundhog Day" type structure that didn't hold my interest. They needed Ned Ryerson. Please see my "Thrill Me" list for some better recommendations in the genre.
i liked this one but i didn't right away. it has a neat approach/perspective that builds on you and all beit odd somehow manage to pull a trick ending out of it before they are done. good suspense, better intrigue.
A sci-fi romance, hero, thriller movie. It'll take a couple viewings for me to determine exactly what was supposed to be happening. The main characters are confused as to what is going on, so we get a sense of their confusion because we slowly learn just like the they do.
Okay. I need to reveal what is NOT a big secret and that is that I have a genre of movies, very commercial and well-budgeted films, that I refer to as "Stories That Rod Serling Would Have Told In A Half-Hour." Basically the title tells it all. They are films that take an hour and a half to two hours to tell a story that Serling would have done with in less than thirty minutes. Excluding commercials. The accusation, if an accusation it be, is that the films are plumped up to fill out the allotted time with special effects, romantic subplots, and plot twists that are not so much effects, romances, or twists as just a way to delay, delay, delay the end of the film. Okay. Now having said that, "Source Code" is not one of those films. It's not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a worthwhile film.
B+ DVD
I really wasn't impressed with this movie. The acting was good by Gyllenhaal, and I tend to like the premise of a time travelling movie. This just wasn't interesting to me. Maybe just not compelling enough. There were no real effects to speak of. I expected more from the movie than I got. Certainly not a bad movie, just nothing to write home about.
If the movie ended five minutes earlier, it would have been great. The ending was really bad and it did not make sense at all.
